About Me

I am wife, a mom, and a working woman.  I love my job but it's hard work.  And our evenings tend to be filled with homework, piano, clubs, and chores.  If I'm ever quoted, it will say, "I'm tired of being tired."

I love spending time with my family, but it seems to be getting harder and harder.  The only time we ever seem to connect anymore is when we go somewhere.  It forces us to be in the moment.  Just like you, we can't afford to take lots of time off work and travel the world.  But I'm also a fighter.  I believe that most of the doors that close to us, are actually just hurdles.  It's our challenge to find our way over them.

I need time with my family,  I want to see the world,  and my son needs to know there is something other than a video screen.  After deciding to rethink the way we do things, we are going to start right here at home.  We have a massive network of state and national parks, and camping is crazy cheap.  So we are setting out.  For better or for worse, we are going to see this country.  We are going to spend quality time.  And we are NOT going to break the bank to do it.
